Sean Peterson

Sean Peterson graduated from Kean University with a degree in Health and Physical Education. While pursuing his degree, he also played for the men's lacrosse team. As a player, Peterson was an all- conference defenseman as well as being selected as a team captain by his peers.

Prior to coming to Sparta HS, Mr. Peterson was an elementary PE teacher for 9 years in Whippany NJ. In that time he was also a head coach both at Oratory Prep in Summit as well as Hanover Park High School. He was twice named conference coach of the year in his time at those schools while having a winning record in 5 of 6 seasons.

Coach Peterson joined the staff here at Sparta in the fall of 2021 where he filled the role as head boys lacrosse coach while also teaching Health and Physical Education at the high school level.
